It's not just any burger, Callahan's owner Dan DeMiglio explained.
"It's this massive, sphere stuffed with homemade gouda-truffle-mac-and-cheese," said DeMiglio of Executive Chef Daniel Fabian's creation.
With more than 1.6 million hits on BuzzFeed Food, the burger became internationally renowned almost over night.
The phones rang off the hook last week with people calling from as far as Japan and Australia, asking DeMiglio, 34, to ship them the burger that they saw on the internet.
Four college students from Maryland drove up to Norwood just for lunch after seeing the truffle burger on Instagram.
To DeMiglio, that's funny, since his food trucks-turned-storefront is known for its hot dogs.
"It's crazy what it's become," he said.
"I knew it was something great, but for it to virtually catch like this is pretty amazing."
DeMiglio and his Executive Chef Daniel Fabian have been working to revamp the menu since he brought back the family business 2 years ago.
The restaurant — which had its dessert fries featured on Fox News this summer — has taken on a new flavor.
"It's been such a different elevation of business," DeMiglio said, noting that NBC featured the same burger in August.
"Our executive chef is doing all things from scratch that my family used to do in cans. The majority of our toppings are all from scratch, and we have won multiple awards for not just the hot dogs but for other items as well.
DeMiglio says it's a testament to "Chef Danny" and all of his hard work, and a promise to his grandfather that he'd one day up the Callahan's ante.
"For me to change the game is truly amazing," he said.
"It's a dream come true."
This burger and all menu items are only offered at Callahan's in Norwood, located at 10 Broad St.
