HAWORTH, N.J. -- The Andiamo Benefit Motorcycle Run, with its motto of "Riding to Help Others," is returning on Sunday, Sept. 18. The run departs from Andiamo Restaurant, in Haworth.
Proceeds from the event benefit Englewood Hospital and Medical Center Cancer Treatment and Wellness Center, Haworth Ambulance, Special Olympics, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Andiamo Scholarship to St. Therese School and other local charities.
"Help us help others by riding and having a great time at the after party!" organizers note. The annual event has raised over $1 million since 1999.
The ride is fully police escorted, and all bikers will receive collector t-shirts.
Signups begin at 8 a.m. and the ride leaves at 10:20 a.m. The post-run party -- with live music, pizza, hot dogs, soda, beer and more -- will begin at noon. The restaurant is located at 23 Hardenburgh Ave., in Haworth.
Non-riders are welcome as well, to the post-run party, at $10 apiece.
