Books and Greetings is to host the popular actress, producer, entrepreneur and mother at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 4, according to a statement for her camp.

Gellar, 39, will be discussing recipes from her recently published book, “Stirring Up; Fund with Food,” according to the statement, which said she worked on the book with Gia Russo, a former editor for Martha Stewart Living.

The book features more than 100 “fun food-crafting ideas that will engage, delight and amaze kids,” according to the statement, which said the “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and “Cruel Intentions” actress has put together recipes for a variety of occasions.

“Sarah Michelle Gellar learned quickly that to get her kids to be adventurous with food, she had to involve them in preparing it,” the statement said. “She wanted that process to be fun and help them develop self-confidence, creative thinking and even math skills.”

Gellar and Russo then set about coming up with the recipes, which tackle such special events as Super Bowl parties, Valentine’s Day, Shark Week, Halloween and Star Wars Day.
