NORWOOD, NJ -- Girl Scouts might be known for great cookies, but members of Norwood's Boy Scout Troop 120 are mighty proud of their popcorn.

Kelly Ann Carney's three sons are Scouts -- Richard, 13, Aiden 9 and 7-year-old Gavin -- who make appearances at Norwood Town Day.

Yet most of their sales of Trail Good jalapeno, caramel and regular flavors are thanks to word of mouth.

"This is how we fund our programs. The more stuff we sell, the more fun stuff we can do," Carney said.

Proceeds from the current campaign, from late August through Halloween, go towards camping events, museum trips, rocket derbies and other events.

"We have the boys be in full uniform and it sends out a nice message to the community instead of being in a soccer or sports uniform," said Laura McLaughlin, whose 9-year-old on, Kevin, has been helping out the past four years.

"We've done other fundraisers - candles and stuff," McClaughlin said, "but everyone loves popcorn," she said.
