Old Tappan Nvrhs Students, Parents Must Take Laptop Training

Students entering Northern Valley Regional High School in Demarest and Old Tappan for the first time in September are required to take a technology orientation class with their parents.

New students in the Northern Valley Regional High School District, and their parents, must take a district-led MacBook seminar before the school year begins.

The Old Tappan class meets 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 30, in the auditorium. 

The Demarest class meets 7-9 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 29, in the auditorium.

This is a mandatory One to One Laptop Parent and Student Orientation Program for incoming 9th and transfer students and their parents. The personalized learning experience is intended to help develop prepared, confident Users. 

Families have the option of using their own MacBooks or receiving a school-issued MacBook to use during the school months. School-issued laptops will be distributed at the orientation.
