CRESSKILL, N.J. -- Cresskill High School hosted its annual Bark for Education Canine Carnival and Dog Show -- a fundraiser for Cresskill Education Foundation, which supports all four Cresskill schools -- on Saturday, May 21.

The carnival featured a variety of mostly doggie-themed activities:

  • a "Smooch a Pooch" booth;
  • a pet parade with a costume contest;
  • a dog show, with ribbons awarded for best smile, "waggiest tail, owner and dog look-alike, cutest ears and most interesting markings;
  • a best pet tricks competition;
  • "pooch pics and photo booth," to pose either with dogs, in a dog cutouts or with props;
  • a jumpy castle -- though only for two-legged participants;
  • face painting and nail clipping;
  • various vendors; and
  • snacks, hot dogs and treats from the Cupcake Cutie truck.
