Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel Comes To Garden State Plaza

PARAMUS, N.J. — A new exhibit at Westfield's Garden State Plaza in Paramus is recreating Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel.

Visitors can experience the awe and wonder of one of mankind's greatest artistic achievements through Oct. 15, with 34 life-size frescos that altogether are "Up Close: Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel."

With special expertise and care, the ceiling paintings from the Sistine Chapel have been reproduced using state-of-the-art technology, mall officials said.

In order for the observer to fully engage and comprehend the artwork, the paintings have been reproduced in their original sizes.

Westfield Garden State Plaza will host the exhibit through Oct. 15 in the West Parking Lot nearest Lord & Taylor.
