As of January 1, Valley Health System and Holy Name Medical Center established the North Jersey ACO to serve the two hospitals’ complementary service areas. ACOs are groups of doctors, hospitals, and other healthcare providers who come together voluntarily to provide coordinated, high quality care to their shared patients. This is the first such partnership in Bergen County.

Mulgaokar, a resident of Teaneck, joins the North Jersey ACO from UniNet Healthcare Network in Omaha Nebraska, where he served as Director of Finance and Data Operations. UniNet is a Clinically Integrated Network (CIN), which is part of Catholic Health Initiatives.

“We are pleased to welcome Kiran as the Executive Director of the North Jersey ACO,” said Audrey Meyers, President and CEO of The Valley Hospital and Valley Health System. “Under his leadership, the ACO helps Valley Health System fulfill its mission to provide healthcare services that meet the changing needs of our region.”

“Kiran is a strategic thinker with a passion for mission-based organizations, and will help lead the North Jersey ACO’s efforts to ensure our patients achieve and maintain their optimum health,” said Michal Maron, President and Chief Executive Officer, Holy Name Medical Center. “His experience and drive to improve population health will serve our community well.”

Currently, the North Jersey ACO has nearly 600 providers enrolled, offering services to more than 24,500 Medicare beneficiaries in northern New Jersey.

"We welcome Kiran and his expertise in heading our ACO, so patients will experience the best possible outcomes,” said Adam Jarrett, MD, MS, Executive Vice President for Medical Affairs and Chief Medical Officer, Holy Name Medical Center.

“We are proud to have Kiran lend his expertise and leadership to the North Jersey ACO,” said Robert Brenner, M.D., Senior Vice President and Chief Physician Executive for Valley Health System. “He brings a wealth of experience that will help ensure the program meets its goal: delivering enhanced quality care and improved outcomes for our patients.”
