NORTHVALE, N.J.– Chrissie Morea was part of Northvale's fabric.
"She was a mother -- not just to her own children but to every child in this town," her sister, Kelly Maderas, told Daily Voice.
Morea, a mother of three and former coach, died Tuesday from a heart attack. She was 48.
“It's very tragic," said Maderas, a MRI technician,. "She was the most giving person."
Morea worked part-time at Marshall's in Nanuet, N.Y. so she had the flexibility to care for Maderas' three children – Gabriella (nine), Nico (six), and Madelina (four).
"She was there in the morning to get them ready, and there to pick them up after school," Maderas said. "My children adore her just as much as everyone else."
She also cared for her fellow Northvale residents.
"Morning, noon or night, if somebody needed help, she was right there," Maderas said.
Morea grew up in Dumont as one of eight children.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph, and three children: Joe (24), Aneesa (18), and Arianna (15).
