DEMAREST, N.J. -- The annual Christmas tree lighting will take place on Tuesday, Dec. 8, at 7 p.m. at the railroad station on Park Street.

The event, which is open to the public, will include caroling and hot cocoa.

Santa, who will arrive on a Demarest fire truck, will pass out candy canes, greet the children and hear their wishes.
