HAWORTH, N.J. -- As improvements continue at the Haworth Municipal Library, the Friends of the Library are looking for new members.

"We welcome enthusiastic volunteers who would like to join us as we develop new and unique ways -- as well as maintaining favorites -- to support our library in its efforts to be a true community hub," the group noted.

"Friends come in all makes and sizes, and as you know, you can never have enough."

The organization's work raises funds for all sorts of things that may not fit into the library's budget: the children's summer reading program, audio-visual equipment, concerts, adult lectures and programs, landscaping, and more.

The Friends hold a variety of fund-raising events throughout the year, including auctions and book sales.

If you are able to contribute time, contact Library Director David Marks at 201-384-1020 or marks@haworth.bccls.org.

If you want to help, but time is an issue, you can always support the library with a monetary donation -- here.
