NORWOOD, N.J. — More than $1,100 had been raised as of Tuesday evening on a YouCaring site aimed to save the Norwood Swim Club.
A temporary water line costing the borough an "extreme" amount of money was installed last summer after the pool was contaminated by an unknown source, the page says.
A new water main with a $50,000 price tag is needed, or else the Norwood Swim Club could close for good.
"Our members will remember the fourth of July goldfish hunt in the kiddie pool, watching the lifeguards going off the boards and splash the children sitting on the side of the pool, cheering on our swim team, watching as your baby jumped of the diving board for the first time, and many fun Family Nights," the page says
