TAPPAN, N.Y. -- Joseph I. Young, of Tappan, died Nov. 26. He was 82.
Born Aug. 31, 1934, in Brooklyn, to Joseph and Brona Young, he attended Richmond Hill High School and Hofstra University.
He worked for 30 years as field engineer and sales manager for Burroughs/Unisys and was a member of the National Guard for eight years. He also was a sailor, musician, skier, pilot and an active member of the Tappan Senior Club.
He is survived by his wife, Ann (Federico) Young.
Viewing was at Moritz Funeral Home in Tappan followed by a Funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Scared Heart and interment at St. Anthony's Cemetery in Nanuet.
