NORWOOD, N.J. -- Marie (Muuse) Westervelt, of Norwood, died on Monday, May 23. She was 87.
Westervelt was an office manager for Dr. Kenneth Fried in Englewood for many years. She was an avid animal lover, especially dogs and her cat, Suzie. She enjoyed family vacations to Cape Cod and Hilton Head Island. "She loved her family and was her grandchildren's biggest fan at all their activities," information from the funeral home noted.
She is survived by her children, Cynthia Pinelli and her husband Jeffrey of Norwood, and Claudia Westervelt and her fiancé Russell, also of Norwood; grandchildren Jeffrey, Christopher, Dylan and Carly; and many loving relatives and friends.
Westervelt was predeceased by her husband, Donald, and four brothers.
Visiting hours will be from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, May 26, at Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Ave., in Northvale. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
