NORTHVALE, N.J. -- MaryJane Brondi, of Northvale, died on Wednesday, Feb. 15. She was 96.
Brondi was a devoted parishioner of St. Anthony's Church, in Northvale. She was a charter member of the Northvale VFW Post 366 Ladies Auxiliary, a founding member of the James F. McGuire Senior Center, as well as the Golden Agers.
She spent many hours as a volunteer with the Pascack Valley Hospital Ladies Auxiliary.
Brondi is survived by her children, Robert Brondi and his wife Elaine of Northvale, and AltaJane Slagle and her husband Virgil of Valparaiso, Indiana; daughter-in-law Roberta Remy; and grandchildren Russell, Rita, Ricky, BettyJo, Ray, Joseph, Steven, Kristie and Andrew; 10 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded by her husband, Alfred; son Richard Remy; and granddaughter Lisa.
A funeral mass was celebrated on Friday morning, Feb. 17, at St. Anthony's Church. Interment was in Rockland Cemetery, in Sparkill. Pizzi Funeral Home, in Northvale, assisted with arrangements.
