Richard H. Hubbard, 79, Of Northvale

NORTHVALE, N.J. -- Richard H. Hubbard -- a Northvale resident, formerly of West Paterson -- died on Monday, Jan. 4. He was 79.

He was a  U.S. Army veteran and retired from Chrysler Motors Corporation after 34 years. He owned and operated Tri-State Inventory Service until his death.

A 50-year life member of the West Paterson Fire Department and Rifle Camp Fire Company No. 3, he served as president, captain and treasurer. He was also treasurer of the West Paterson Exempt and Relief Associations, as well as the Passaic County Relief Association.

He is survived by his wife, Arlene (Kilcommons) Hubbard; children Lynn Hubbard of Brick, Leslie Hubbard Tristram and her husband Scott of Clifton, and Richard Hubbard of Woodland Park; and grandchildren Alyssa Diehl, Danielle Diehl and Tianna Hubbard; siblings Earl, Carol Miller, Lois Ferrara, Ernest, Melissa Hubbard, and Alvin and Elaine Scala.

He was predeceased by a daughter, Cheryl Hubbard Diehl.

Visiting hours are will from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. on Thursday, at Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Ave., in Northvale. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 8, at St. Anthony’s Church, in Northvale. Interment will follow at George Washington Memorial Park, in Paramus.
