Construction Worker Critical After Falling From Old Tappan Roof

OLD TAPPAN, NJ -- A construction worker was flown by medical chopper to Hackensack University Medical Center in critical condition after he fell from the roof of an Old Tappan home Friday morning, authorities said.

German Tamay Caguana, 40, of Irvington fell from the Kristin Place house, which is under construction, just after 10 a.m., Police Chief Thomas M. Shine said.

Caguana works for Paese Construction of Kearny, the chief said.

An investigation was continuing, he said.
