The Ambulance Corps., which is celebrating its 55th anniversary this year, serves Demarest and the surrounding communities of the Northern Valley area, according to Ambulance Corps. Assistant Chief Roberta Hoag.

In 2015, the Ambulance Corps. responded to 380 calls and is a member of the Interboro Mutual Aid EMS organization, the Pascack Valley Vol. Ambulance Association as well as the New Jersey First Aid Council 18th District, Hoag said.

The borough expects the ambulance to arrive at the end of the year.
