HARRINGTON PARK, NJ — The Harrington Fire Department is taking a break from fighting fires to focus on sizzling sausages and hotcakes.
From 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Sunday, the fire department will sit down with community members for breakfast at Applebees in Northvale.
The restaurant is usually closed on Sunday mornings, but attendees can donate to the local volunteers by paying a $10 admission fee and chatting with the people who keep the community from burning over breakfast.
This is the second time the event has been held. The fire department encourages members of the community to come out and meet their local firefighters. Other firefighters from local towns such as Northvale and Haworth may also be in attendance.
The event will take place on Nov. 13 from 8.am. to 10 a.m. at Applebees, 271 Livingston Street, Northvale, NJ 07647.
Admission is $10, attendees can pay in advance or at the door.
