Sgt. Gianluca Ragone stopped a 2010 Audi Q7 driven by 32-year-old Juliana Zapata on Schraalenburgh Road around 10:30 p.m. Thursday, Sgt. Justin Fox said.

"He noticed a strong odor of raw marijuana and found several medium-sized, sealed packages of the drug," along with $700 in suspected drug proceeds, Fox said.

Zapata was charged with drug possession with the intent to distribute it, as well as money laundering, the sergeant said.

She also received traffic summonses for speeding, failing to keep right, not having the vehicle inspected, driving with obscured licenes plates and having drugs in a motor vehicle, he said.

She was released pending a hearing, under New Jersey's 2017 Bail Reform & Speedy Trial Act.
