ONLY ON CLIFFVIEW PILOT: A stolen iPhone wasn’t gone for long, as Norwood police dialed up an app that led them straight to a Northern Valley Regional High School student who they said held it up for them when he was confronted.

“This phone?” 18-year-old Vincent Bulzomi asked police who showed up at his house, Norwood Police Chief Jeffrey Krapels told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.

The white iPhone 4S was taken from the owner’s car, which was parked at Northern Valley in Old Tappan last week, the chief said.

The owner was wise enough to install the tracking app — and, as it turns out, knows Bulzomi, whom he’d given rides home from school, Krapels said.

Bulzomi is charged by Norwood police with receiving stolen property and by Old Tappan police with burglary and theft.
