Man Charged With DWI In Hit-And-Run Northvale Crash

ORANGEBURG, N.Y. -- An Orangeburg man was nabbed on Friday by Orangetown Police for driving while intoxicated after he failed to stop at a car crash in Northvale, N.J., according to the Orangetown Police.

Seth Riker, 53, was arrested after a radio call was put out when Riker failed to stop at the hit-and-run crash, police said.

An Orangetown officer spotted Riker's vehicle on Route 303 in Orangeburg and pulled him over. While talking with Riker, the officer said he could smell alcohol and that he had glassy eyes and slurred speech, police said.

After failing numerous field sobriety tests, he was charged with DWI. Once at the station, Riker refused to take a breathalyzer test, police said.

He was released and is due to appear in court on Jan. 25.
