Officer Ryan Burke pulled over Nicolas Datz at 10:30 p.m. Saturday on Rochelle Avenue, Detective Sgt. James DePreta said Tuesday.

While speaking with Datz, the officer "detected the odor of unburnt marijuana," leading to a search, he said.

Besides the pot, Burke found "a large amount of empty baggies commonly used to package narcotics and an imitation Colt 1911 [model] handgun," DePreta said.

Datz was ordered held on $10,000 bail in the Bergen County Jail, charged with drug and weapons possession.
