The 55-year-old woman first took to Facebook with her account, which she then gave to police.

It began around 6:30 a.m. Saturday in the Otterhole Road area of West Milford (top of map above) while she was driving a red Dodge wagon, the woman told police.

The driver of a white Ram ProMaster van (similar to the one pictured above) began following her, then pulled very close and attempted to pass her several times, she said.

The driver then followed her her south onto Otterhole Road, then Glenwild Avenue and then Main Street, she said, before she pulled over to let the van pass.

The white van pulled alongside her and someone tossed the bottle, which shattered the driver's side window and hit her in the face, the woman told police.

The van then went east on Main Street, she said.

Police asked that anyone who might have witnessed any of the incident or has information that could help the investigation contact them at: (973) 838-0158.
