Norwood Students Celebrate Lunar New Year

NORWOOD, N.J. -- Norwood parents and students celebrated the Lunar New Year this week. The Lunar New Year began on Tuesday, Feb 9.

On Monday, the Korean Parent Support Committee hosted an appreciation lunch for teachers and staff. On Tuesday, the Lunar New Year Committee -- along with music and art teachers put together two performances for the students.

Performers including some of Norwood's own students, the school band and choir, as well as the NY Chinese Cultural Center, Korean Dance Choomnoori and Triumph Tae Kwon Do. Students were encouraged to wear their traditional outfits to help celebrate and share their culture.
