Paramus Catholic Earns Bergen First Win In High School Football Finals

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — Paramus Catholic defeated St. Peter's Prep in the Non-Public, Group 4 division of the NJSIAA High School Football Championship Friday evening at MetLife Stadium.

The Paramus Catholic High School Paladins took home Bergen County's first victory in the 2016 NJSIAA High School Football Championships.

The team last year missed the playoffs, but this time captured the win with a final score of 33-28.

The championships will continue Saturday and Sunday.

All four of Wayne's high schools will be playing this year, along with Ridgewood — going in undefeated — and several other Bergen and Passaic teams.
