Judge Reserves Decision In 'Montrose 9' Pipeline Protester Case CORTLANDT, N.Y. -- Cortlandt Town Justice Daniel McCarthy reserved decision in the case of the "Montrose 9" protesters, according to The Examiner News. The protesters were arrested in November 2015 on disorderly conduct charges after blocking access on Route 9A to Spectra Energy's construction yard during a protest against Spectra's AIM pipeline, The Examiner News said. Mid-Hudson Valley Run In Lagrangeville Honors Military, First Responders LAGRANGEVILLE, N.Y. -- Arlington High School hosted the inaugural Mid-Hudson Valley Run for Heroes last week. The Run for Heroes included a 5K run/ruck and an 8K run/ruck. It honored all first responders and active and veteran military service members. Arlington graduate and U.S. Marine Corps Capt. Daniel Cartica organized the marathon. Cartica won the World Marathon Challenge (seven marathons on seven continents in seven days) earlier this year in a world-record time.

On Anniversary Of Fatal Poughkeepsie Crash, Change In Sentencing Urged POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- Assemblyman Kieran Michael Lalor and State Sen.
