NORTHVALE, N.J. — A Haworth rock climbing enthusiast hopes her Northvale gym helps her reach her professional goals.
Stephanie Shultz of Haworth opened High Exposure, LLC last summer. She's hoping it will help foster relationships.
“I wanted to build a place where we can grow together,” said Shultz, a 20-year climber.
The business owner is working with an occupational therapist and wants to extend programs to those with autism and special needs.
“Climbing is one of those exercises that helps with... prevention," said Shultz, citing osteoporosis
A plexiglass wall in the gym allows parents and children to face each other as they climb the staggered rocks along the wall.
“These are attainable goals that you can set and achieve," said Shultz of the benefits of climbing.
