NORTHVALE, N.J. -- Northvale celebrated a very special anniversary Friday, Jan. 22 -- the 70th anniversary of Fire Fighter Arthur Bodrato in the Northvale Volunteer Fire Department.
Bodrato, known as Artie, has been a Northvale fireman since he was 20 years old. To honor him, the Mayor and Council voted a proclamation, and Mayor Ed Piehler featured Bodrato on his Facebook page.
Bodrato, who lives on LeGrand Avenue, was born in 1925.
Last fall, County Clerk John Hogan, a former Northvale mayor, helped Bodrato celebrate his 90th birthday with a Certificate of Recognition from his county office recognizing 70 years of service.
